The Nixons were a hard-rock band who put on intense live shows that frequently ended with lead singer Zac Maloy lighting the stage on fire with lighter fluid. The club owners and the local Fire Marshall took a dim view of this, but it was really popular with the fans. So for their first album, it seemed like a no-brainer to go with a fire theme.
